Making A Profile
Your consultant's first concern will be to produce the most effective CV for any market condition. He will therefore work with you initially to edit your CV so that the key aspects of your career and experience are illustrated effectively.
This involves assessing your skills and personality, as well as identifying your career aspirations. Your consultant's objective is to get you an interview with the organisations you want.
Your details will be forwarded to current vacancies that you're interested in. Your consultant will discuss with you the opportunities presented by each vacancy and provide you with an insight into the recruiting organisation's culture.
If you are offered an interview your consultant will provide all the available information about the organisation and any available. He will also include any insight Perduco may have gained from previous visits, briefings, other candidates or former contracts.
Your Input
Your consultant will need your feedback as soon as possible after an interview. If you're interested in the job and the feedback is positive, your consultant will ensure that is transmitted back to the prospective employer.
Many organisations call the consultant within an hour of conducting a first interview and may be disappointed to find that feedback has not yet been received from the candidate. There may also be questions which may have arisen from the interview, or perhaps a misunderstanding of statements at the meeting. It's imperative that your consultant is able to resolve all these for you.
After your first meetings and interviews your consultant will relay any positive news or, he may ask for additional information. You will need to agree a suitable formula for ongoing contact relevant to your circumstances.
Additional Initiatives
Draw up a list of companies in which you're interested and who may be interested in you. There may be no current positions advertised, but these organisations can be approached on a speculative basis. This may be on a no-name basis or with full disclosure and CV.
Consultants are constantly liasing with their clients, and networking with other professionals in the field. In this way they ensure they are updated on all issues from an employees's perspective.
